Bus Plug Floating Contact Switches
A floating contact switch is the internal operating switch of a fusible bus plug or fusible disconnect: it opens and closes the circuit ahead of the fuses when the handle is thrown. BRAH Electric lists nine floating contact switches rated 30A, 60A and 100A, 3-phase. Six (type FCS) are built for BRAH fusible bus plugs. Three (type FCSGE) are made for General Electric equipment as substitutes for the GE MR series switch. Listings show amperage, voltage, the fuse clips fitted and the bus plug types each switch suits.
A part that replaces an OEM part number is listed under that number as well as under its BRAH part number, so the results count below can be higher than the number of parts.

Floating contact switches for BRAH and General Electric fusible plugs
Overview
The six type FCS switches are the operating switch used inside BRAH fusible bus plugs, types BEB, BEL, BEC, BEK, BES, BIP, BRV, BUV and BDH. Those are the BRAH substitutes for General Electric Armor Clad, Spectra, Spectra Low-Amp, Type FVK and Type DH, Siemens BD Series, XL-X and XL-U, and Cutler-Hammer POW-R-WAY I and II plugs. The six part numbers are FCS203, FCS206, FCS210, FCS603, FCS606 and FCS610, covering 30A, 60A and 100A; each listing shows the voltage that switch is rated for.
The three type FCSGE switches (FCS-30-GE, FCS-60-GE and FCS-100-GE) are made for General Electric fusible equipment: bus plug types SB, SL, AC, DH, DE and FVK and, per the product descriptions, GE MCC buckets, disconnects, and QMR and THFP fusible switches. They operate on both 240V and 600V systems.
To choose a switch, match the amperage of the plug or switch (30A, 60A or 100A), the system voltage, and the plug type it has to fit. All nine are fitted with heavy duty fuse clips for Class H and Class R fuses. If the switch being replaced is in a plug type not named on a listing, call before ordering. Floating contact switches carry a 2-year warranty from the date of invoice. Listings marked UL Listed or UL Recognized show it in their specifications.
